GRE Essays are Written for the Graduate Record Exam
GRE is taken by those who are applying for business degree programs and is now being increasingly accepted in place of GMAT scores. GRE Essays contain two analytical tasks requiring students to write two essays. First task is to analyze a given issue while the second task is to analyze an argument. Under the new test, GRE Revised General Test that replaces the GRE General Test on 1st August 2011, the time allowed for each task is thirty minutes. More emphasis is given to the critical thinking skills than the writer’s knowledge of finer grammatical points like spelling, and punctuations etc. Students have to grasp the way, new questions are designed and how the responses will be assessed.
